It is a delight to be able to serve the community of Glasgow’s West End, one of the most prominent and vibrant parts of the city, with beautiful coveted homes. As we previously highlighted, 2016 started off with a very strong market and many successful sales – read this blog post to find out more – and we have continued the trend into early summer.
Just recently, we had a resounding success with what you would call a fixer upper in Scotstoun. This fantastic, spacious three bedroom end terraced in Vancouver Road, Scotstoun was recently sold at closing date for £100k over the asking price, after receiving a total of 15 offers. The property has been well maintained over the years, but might benefit from a splash of modernisation in the near future and had the added advantage of generously sized gardens and a double sized garage. The home was brought to market with our tried and tested, hands on approach, which ramped up keen interest and finally led to a very successful sale.
More than that, off the back of that sale we managed to offer one of the unsuccessful parties in Vancouver Road another property in Ormiston Avenue Scotstoun. We secured an offer £10k above the home report value. Both buyer and seller were delighted!

Glasgow Mela – ends 17th July
Glasgow Mela, Scotland’s biggest free multicultural festival, is celebrating 27 years this summer. The huge outdoor festival offers a diverse programme of music, dance and performance representing cultures from across the world that have made Glasgow their home.
A real family event, Glasgow Mela is open to all ages and includes lots of kids’ activities, as well as stalls selling gifts, accessories, clothes and more, and a mouth-watering range of quality world foods to top it all off!
The Colour Run – on 17th July
Time to get covered in colour in the 2016 Scottish debut of The Color Run – presented by Skittles!
The 5K course won’t be timed, meaning you can walk, jog, dance or even party your way along the course at any pace. Starting in a white t-shirt and reaching different colour zones at each kilometre, it’s impossible to finish the ‘Happiest 5K’ as you started it!
Piping Live 2016, 8 – 14 August
Clyde Property is proud to sponsor the 13th year of Piping Live! With a fantastic programme, this year’s festival is scheduled to attract over 40,000 spectators to more than 150 events over 7 days. Although happening in the city centre – George Square, The Royal Concert Hall, etc – you will probably hear our brave pipers all the way from West End.
