Autumn is here – don’t let the great Scottish weather fool you! As we are starting a new busy season, some of our branches are going through exciting staff changes. We care about our people and love seeing them grow and develop into their true potential. It is certainly the case of new Area Director to Clyde Property Hamilton – enthusiastic Liam Morrison, who we have asked a few questions before he starts his new role on Monday, 5 September.
When did you join Clyde Property and what is your new role at the Hamilton branch?
I began my career at Clyde Property Hamilton a few years back as a trainee – as I am born and raised in Hamilton. Very soon afterwards I moved to our Stirling branch where I quickly climbed the ladder to establish myself as a senior valuer. Enthusiasm, passion and excellent communication skills helped me become one of the city’s top valuers.
My main priority is to provide our clients with outstanding service and achieve a successful sale, something that I am proud to say I managed to deliver time and time again.
So as you can imagine, I am incredibly excited to now come back to my home town, where I started my career, as the new Area Director.
What is your opinion on the current local property market?
Clyde Property Hamilton have enjoyed a very active second quarter of 2016 that featured some of our most impressive sales results on record and also our best ever month in May (including pre-recession years). Our aggressive approach to marketing and the way our branch operates bring about shorter selling times and much increased selling prices. Despite much political speculation and concern in the final part of the quarter, the Scottish Property market appears resilient to the turmoil and trading conditions remain strong.
Our local team is formed of extremely dedicated people who love their jobs and are proud to be part of the bigger Clyde Property team. It is the reason why although the local market is very competitive, I truly believe we offer the best value proposition out there, with the best marketing packages and in-branch support.
What is the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is meeting different people every day and helping them achieve the best possible price for there home. Each and every home I help sell is different and being able to bring the best out of that house to achieve the best possible price is a job that makes no two days the same. This is an industry where first impressions are essential so I usually work with clients before their property goes on the market to achieve that desired Wow! effect.
What kinds of hobbies and interests do you have outside of work?
At the weekend I love socialising with my friends and dining out. I also enjoy working out at the gym in the morning before I start work, since I truly believe in the healthy body, healthy mind approach.
