Stirling Named Most Affordable City in the UK

The Scotsman recently reported that Stirling has officially been crowned the “most affordable city to live in the UK”, with an average house price of £186,000. Stirling’s success in being crowned with this title isn’t just a one off- it’s won the title for the last 5 years in a row.

Once the capital of Scotland, the city has a rich history that’s well reflected in its buildings, landmarks and architecture: it was once the seat of the old kings of Scotland. Overlooked by the impressive Stirling Mount, the city has impressive natural surroundings too, sitting at the point where the gentle Lowlands gives way to the dramatic landscapes of the Highlands. It’s no surprise then that Stirling is often referred to as “The Gateway to the Highlands”.
