Family Fun as Clyde Sponsors the Annual Scarecrow Festival in Bothwell

The Bothwell Scarecrow Festival is in its 8th year and is now the biggest festival of its kind in Scotland. Clyde Property Bothwell is a proud Gold Sponsor, helping to make this fun family day a huge success!

The annual Scarecrow Festival in Bothwell takes place from the 8th to the 16th September 2018, and is a great family day out helping to promote community spirit among residents, community groups and local businesses.

The first Bothwell Scarecrow Festival took place in September 2011 and was a resounding success. It’s back by popular demand as this fast became a much talked-about and eagerly anticipated event, which now takes place every year.

Last year’s festival saw over 450 Scarecrows displayed along with over 30 events suitable for all ages. This year there are a number of new events along alongside the firmly established favourites.

It kicks off with the sport weekend including the Scarecrow Champions League football tournament on the 8th September, followed by the Family Cycle Ride or On Road Cycle Ride, and the 5k and 10k Fun Run on Sunday 9th September.

Other highlights include a comedy night, children’s party night, farmers’ market, art exhibition and the Grand Scarecrow Parade. You can also enjoy the toddler zone, funfair, live music, face painting, arts and crafts, balloon modelling and so much more.
