The property market in Bearsden was buoyant before the UK went into lockdown – with a busy start to spring and what we believed would be an even busier summer ahead of us. However, lockdown put a stop to everyone’s moving plans and in the process, changed their priorities.

When the restrictions lifted at the end of June and we reopened for business, not only did we see pent up demand from those who were previously planning on proceeding with house sales, we also saw a raft of buyers and sellers wanting to move home following a re-evalaution of their work life balance. We saw people moving from the city to more suburban areas, looking for more space to accommodate home working and enhanced access to outside space.
