Garden Offices are in High Demand!

According to the latest research, a garden office could boost the value of your property by as much as £12,000.

A recent study from MyToolShed has revealed that paying extra for a good quality shed that can be used as an office – or even designing and building your own structure that can be used as a home office/extra room separate from the house, will give your home not only a boost in value but in appeal when the time comes to sell.

A structure in the garden can be used as a space to paint, draw, make music, socialise or even turn into a fitness studio. If using it as a home office, you may even have space for a sofa bed for any guests that might stay overnight. What’s more, an outside room is often extremely popular with families with teenagers as a place for the children to get away with friends and have space of their own.

If you’re looking to add value to your home, there’s never been a better time. Christmas and New Year are Rightmove’s busiest ever month and last February the portal regularly broke all records for the number of visitors to the site – so you could get your home ready now to take advantage of the spike in demand. We are still seeing a huge shortage of homes at present and demand is showing no signs of slowing down.
