Ayrshire – Local Area Update

Ayrshire, home to various coastal and in-land towns, has a lot to offer to those who wish to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. With its deep valleys, picturesque countryside and with fields aplenty – it’s certainly an area to consider if you fancy a slice of country living and want impressive views and some peace and quiet.
Thanks to excellent links to major motorways and railway stations, many areas of Ayrshire offer the quite countryside setting, with only half hour – 45 minute commutes into Glasgow. Excellent examples of these areas within Ayrshire are Kilmarnock and Ayr.

Kilmarnock

Within Kilmarnock, known as ‘Killie’ to locals, there is a range of amenities, with major supermarkets located in the centre, beautiful parks for those (occasional) sunny days and lots of pubs and bars for letting your hair down at the weekends. With constant investment ongoing, there is a whole raft of new homes being built and regularly appearing on the housing market on the outskirts of the town – near neighbouring Crosshouse.
On the venue front, popular bars and restaurants mean those who enjoy a nice meal are well catered for. If you want to be where all the action is – and near the clubs and bars – this two bedroom new build flat is new to the market. Located just 5 minutes from the train station, this flat not only boasts spacious rooms but also excellent public transport links.

Quarry Road – New Business Centre Project

Another area of Ayrshire which benefits highly from excellent transport links is Irvine. Located in North Ayrshire, it was reported recently that a multi-million pound project would go ahead to create new state of the art offices, which signals serious investment in the area. This kind of investment, once completed, is likely to attract more people to the area and has the possibility of increasing local housing prices. The Lure of a Walk on the Beach

And for those who like to be beside the seaside, the coastal town of Ayr could be the ideal place to make the next move to. Ayr offers a wide array of amenities, with supermarkets, bars, restaurants and the infamous Ayr Racecourse all within the town. For those who like to shop, there are plenty of places to visit, with Ayr’s high street featuring all the well-known brands. And on a nice day, being within walking distance of the beach front has to be the biggest advantage of all.
