Scotland is the Fastest Place to Sell a Home

 

 

Last year was the busiest housing market we have ever seen in our time of helping buyers and sellers across Scotland – and on average, in the UK, homes were selling in 33 days but much faster across all the regions in which we operated. 

Although this is now a much more settled market and property is taking on average 55 days across the UK, it is still much faster here in Scotland and before the pandemic; according to Zoopla, it took 67 days.   

We are no longer in a frenetic market with more considered pricing and buyers away from the high levels of competition we saw in 2021 and 2022. Even though the conditions are more stable, the market is still much quicker than before 2020, and people are starting to come back to cities and transport links as many workplaces bring back-office working full or part-time. Terraced houses sell fastest at 48 days, while detached houses take the longest to sell at 65 days. 

 

Here we look at some of Scotland’s fastest-selling areas and homes for sale with Clyde right now.  

Falkirk 

According to the latest figures from Zoopla, Falkirk in the Forth Valley is the fastest-selling location, with an average of 22 to find a buyer, and the average asking price is just under £149,000.

Property in Renfrew in Renfrewshire is the third fastest selling market in the UK at 24 days to find a buyer.  

 

Uddingston, Clydebank and Stirlingshire 

Properties in these locations take just 25 days to sell.
